CEO Q&A: What Makes You Say, 'Yes, Now That's Why I Do What I Do!'?

In each issue of Franchise Update magazine, we profile franchise CEOs and presidents, asking each the same set of questions. Throughout the year, we'll be selecting one of those questions -- and providing answers from those profiles. If you want to learn more about these franchise leaders and their thoughts on other topics, just click the links with their responses to read their full profile.

This week we asked them: What makes you say, "Yes, now that's why I do what I do!"?

Rob Price, CEO and President, School of Rock
Every single time I see a young student on our stage, showing the courage and collaboration required to play with others, I get goose bumps. I get Net Promoter Score comments every day about how we have changed people's lives. There is rarely a moment in my job when I don't enjoy watching our owners and team swell with pride over their impact on our more than 30,000 students. Read the full profile here.

Tammy Whitworth, Chair and CEO, Window World
Of course it's great to hear from a satisfied homeowner after we have completed an exterior remodeling job for them. But it's also personally moving for me when I see a store owner who uses the opportunity to make a difference in their community or family. I'm also incredibly proud of the way our company gives back. Window World Cares is partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and it's wonderful to be able to make a difference in a child's life. We also proudly support the Veterans Airlift Command in providing transportation for wounded warriors and their families. Together, these heartwarming stories of children, employees, and veterans achieving a higher quality of life are what make my job so rewarding and meaningful. Read the full profile here.

Jon Nobis, CEO, Two Men and a Truck
I feel very blessed to feel that quite often. It happens anytime I see that the brand enabled someone to move forward, whether it is a customer testimonial of great service or a front-line employee telling us about how working for the company has changed their life and helped them to pursue their dreams. Each year we have the opportunity to positively affect well over 1 million lives between our customers, franchise partners, front-line staff, and all their families. That is an awesome opportunity, and ultimately, that is why I do what I do. Read the full profile here.

Brian Petranick, CEO and President, RiseMark Brands
The mission of our organization is "to improve the quality of life for those we serve." We are all here because of the impact we have on the lives of our clients, their families, our care professionals, our franchisees, and the communities we serve. Read the full profile here.

Nicole Ossenfort, CEO and President, Liberty Tax
Getting a phone call from one of our franchisees telling me that becoming a part of Liberty Tax was the best decision they made for themselves and their family. Read the full profile here.

Larry Oberly, CEO and President, SpeedPro Imaging
I love being emotional about business. Good decisions, good actions, good results, and good people -- all are worth yelling about. Read the full profile here.
