Business Owner Turned Legislator, Doug Fisher, Becomes Business Coach Offering Services to Aspiring Entrepreneurs

STOW CREEK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Long-term South Jersey resident, former business owner, and state legislator Doug Fisher is taking on new title – business coach - working with aspiring entrepreneurs to help them find the American dream of business ownership. Doug Fisher has opened an office of The Entrepreneur's Source (www.theESource.com/DFisher) offering coaching and advisory services to individuals seeking to be self-sufficient through self-employment and franchise options.

"More than ever people want to go into business for themselves, and they're just not sure how and where to start," says Doug Fisher, TES Business Coach. "The entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic strongly contributes to our local, state and national economy. I'm excited about assisting others who have that spirit find an opportunity to be a business owner," he added.

Recently re-elected to his 4th term as New Jersey Assemblyman for Gloucester, Salem and Cumberland Counties, Doug's governmental experience of 17 years and 30 years of running the family-owned supermarket Fisher's Food Center in Hopewell Township, Cumberland County gives him unique insight on what it takes to be successful as a business owner in the South Jersey region.

"Being a part time state legislator, I have the flexibility to use my experience and business acumen in additional ways," says Fisher. "Becoming a business coach truly compliments my interests and strengths - business ownership and growing the South Jersey economy," he added.

As a TES Coach, Doug will use a unique 'discovery process' to help people define their lifestyle, goals and needs before presenting them with business concepts to consider for business ownership. A similar coaching process is used for the small business market assisting business owners with the challenges of growing a business.

As a New Jersey Assemblyman, Fisher currently is chairman of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and on the Committee for Regulated Professions and Authorities. He was previously Freeholder Director of Cumberland County (1996-2000), Treasurer of the South Jersey Economic Development District and Secretary of the South Jersey Planning Organization. He is currently a realtor with Century 21 Turner Dean and a member of the Bridgeton Rotary and Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce.

Doug Fisher is a resident of Stow Creek and is married with 3 children.
