Brightstar Healthcare Expands Caregiving Network To San Antonio

March 26, 2008 // Franchising.com // CHICAGO, Ill.– According to the National Coalition on Health Care, health care spending in the United States is projected to reach $2.9 trillion in 2009. Responding to this growing need for personal care, Chicago-based BrightStar Healthcare, a full-service health care staffing agency, is targeting San Antonio for expansion. Company plans call for two locations to open in the region by 2010.

The expansion into the local market is part of a national growth plan that calls for a total of more than 400 franchises and seven corporate locations nationwide by the end of 2010. Since launching the company's franchise operations in August 2005, BrightStar Healthcare has opened and/or signed 42 locations and is targeting markets throughout the United States for expansion, including St. Louis, Kansas City, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Orlando and Seattle among others.

"The healthcare industry in San Antonio is rapidly growing," said Shelly Sun, founder and president of BrightStar Healthcare. "BrightStar is at the forefront of the movement, setting industry standards as a growing national franchise that is providing every level of care for aging adults, as well as anyone else in need of assistance."

A full-service healthcare staffing agency that specializes in providing both medical and non-medical private duty homecare and healthcare staffing to corporate clients, BrightStar provides compassionate care, any time, any place. While senior citizens make up the majority of the company's private duty clientele, BrightStar also works with high-tech pediatric and workers' compensation cases, long-term care and Veteran clients, as well as private trust and public guardian payers. BrightStar caregivers strive to improve their clients' quality of life, maintain their dignity, and relieve the stress that their families face on a day-to-day basis.

"We are intimately involved with the families we serve and support our clients and staff with every means possible," Sun added. "We are people who care about people. Our mission is to give 'peace of mind' to our clients by providing the highest quality healthcare staffing solutions to families and businesses."

With a franchise fee of $35,000, the initial investment to own and operate a BrightStar franchise ranges from $100,000 to $160,000. Through a combination of a comprehensive training program and frequently updated marketing materials, BrightStar Healthcare has an unwavering commitment to help franchisees succeed in their local markets. Also included is the company's proprietary cutting-edge Web-based management system that integrates personnel management, payroll and billing, and sales. One of the system's highlights is that it enables franchisees to bill insurance providers directly – improving an often difficult part of the healthcare process for clients. No medical experience is required for franchisees.
