Texas Franchise Showcase Highlights Opportunities for Aspiring Business Owners

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Are you frustrated with your career? The 2008 Texas Franchise Showcase might be just the place to learn about entrepreneurial opportunities as some of the nations fastest growing franchises will be on display for aspiring business owners to learn what it takes to be successful in a franchise concept.

Hosting the Texas Franchise Showcase is The Entrepreneur's Source (TES), the country's leading franchise education company. The Showcase is scheduled for Saturday, October 25th at the Crown Plaza Hotel Houston, North Greenspoint. The one-day Showcase of Exhibitors opens to the public Saturday morning at 9:00 am and will run until 4:00 pm. TES business coaches will also be on-hand to answer many of the questions people have when considering business ownership including how to get started and the common fears and pitfalls.

Additional sponsors include the North Harris Community College Small Business Development Center and SCORE of the Greater Houston area. Each sponsor will have an exhibit booth at the Franchise Showcase offering valuable information and services on business ownership.

"SCORE is a resource partner of the Small Business Administration, and we look forward to working with The Entrepreneur's Source and the aspiring business owners attending this Showcase who see Franchising as part of their future," say Bob Ashfield, Vice Chair, Houston SCORE Chapter.

"The Texas Franchise Showcase is designed to help people explore the various business options available," says Skip Tierno, regional developer for The Entrepreneur's Source. "Education and information is the key to making the right business decision for one's lifestyle, goals and needs," he added.

"We're pleased to be a part of Texas Franchise Showcase, which complements our mission to work with start-up and existing small businesses in the area," says Salvador Mira, director of the Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center. "Franchising is a viable start-up option for those entrepreneurs who do not want to start from scratch or buy an existing business. We're happy to partner with TES in making entrepreneurs aware of resources such as ours that can help them succeed," he added.

The Showcase offers attendees a chance to speak one-on-one with franchise representatives and offers an educational program hosted by local franchise owners and business experts. The speaker presentations will be held between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. The speakers include:
