Sport Clips Haircuts to Reach 'Billion Dollar' Mark in 2011

Nation's Largest Men's and Boys' Hair Care Franchise Shares Growth News and Showcases Standouts at National Huddle

SAN ANTONIO, March 18, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- Sport Clips will reach a "billion dollars in haircuts" this summer after franchising for only 16 years, according to the franchise's Founder and CEO, Gordon Logan. Sport Clips Haircuts is the nation's leading men's and boys' hair care provider with more than 760 stores in 38 states and was recently named eighth in Forbes' "Top 20 Franchises to Start." Speaking to the 1,350 attendees at the company's largest National Huddle to date, Logan also announced that same-store sales were up nine percent last year and up 10 percent over fourth quarter in the first quarter of 2011. Additionally, he expects 120 new stores to open this year.

Logan attributed the strength of the Sport Clips franchise model and hard work of Team Members at all levels for the company's growth, "We have Area Developers, Team Leaders (franchisees), managers, coaches, stylists and support center professionals all working together to provide the best hair care experience for men and boys. It makes me extremely proud to be associated with every one of them."

Highlights of the meeting held at the Marriott Rivercenter included presentations by Jody Conradt, former University of Texas Women's Basketball Coach; Angus Mitchell of John Paul Mitchell Systems; motivational speaker and comedian Joe Malarkey, and T. Scott Gross, author of Positively Outrageous Service. Special recognition was also given to the franchise's support of deployed and hospitalized soldiers through its $400,000 donation to the Veterans of Foreign Wars' free call days program, Operation Uplink.
