The Entrepreneur’s Source’s "Virtual and Reality" Events Target Aspiring Entrepreneurs at The Start a Business Weekend in Early May

April 17, 2012 // Franchising.com // Southbury, CT – Aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to participate in another exciting Start a Business Weekend Event and can do so either in-person or through “virtual technology.” “We’re changing the way people discover business ownership as a path to financial security,” says Terry Powell, CEO and founder of The Entrepreneur’s Source® (TES). “Technology is changing how we manage our everyday lives, but now it can help you change your long-term career.” Both events take place simultaneously beginning on May 3rd and runs through May 5th.

After a highly-successful initial “virtual” event in March, The Entrepreneur’s Source is once again playing host to this first-of-its-kind franchise industry “virtual exposition” where virtual visitors can spend a weekend interacting with many of the nation’s hottest business and franchise concepts – all in an effort to discover whether business ownership is their next career move. The virtual event is scheduled for three days: Thursday, May 3rd – Saturday, May 5th. In addition, people can also attend the Atlanta Franchise Showcase in person, held from Friday, May 4th – Saturday, May 5 th at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel, 2450 Galleria Parkway in Atlanta. Both events offer aspiring entrepreneurs a wealth of information and knowledge on the various business models available for investment.

Both Start a Business Weekend events are self-guided events where attendees can engage in conversation with representatives from many different brands, learn how to finance their new business, access resource materials and videos on many business concepts, and learn from live presentations from industry professionals on what it takes to be successful in business.

“Our virtual events are targeting the new breed of franchise candidates who uses technology, specifically the internet, to begin their search for a franchise investment,” say Powell. “Giving the aspiring entrepreneur access to many franchise options with representatives to speak with and company documentation, from the comfort of their living room, is a very efficient use of time and money for both the seeker and the franchisor.”

At the highly-successful March Start a Business Weekend, over 1,200 aspiring entrepreneurs spent hours logged onto the virtual event; downloaded over 3,000 documents with franchise discovery information from the exhibitors, and at least half the visitors attended at least one of four keynote presentations in the virtual auditorium. And, each attendee was given a 60-day free pass to revisit the showcase after the initial weekend. TES has seen hundreds of visitors return to further their information gathering and research.
