MAACO® Center Celebrates One Year Anniversary In Puerto Rico

MAACO® President Forecasts Brand Growth Territory-Wide

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Oct. 10, 2013 // PRNewswire // - MAACO®, part of the Driven Brands family of automotive companies, today celebrates the one-year anniversary of its Collision Repair & Auto Painting center in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

The Carolina MAACO® is currently one of three centers in Puerto Rico. As the brand's most recent market entry, the center has been welcomed to the marketplace with open arms and experienced strong sales since lifting its first bay door last fall. Since then, MAACO® has painted more than 500 cars and experienced 53 percent sales growth year-to-year. According to MAACO® leadership, this is only the beginning of the brand's expansion in Latin America.

"Puerto Rico is a key market for MAACO® with enormous opportunity for growth," says Jose Costa, president of MAACO®. "Based on the success of our first centers in the marketplace, and the remarkable growth of our most recent center in Carolina, we expect to see, at minimum, 15 more MAACO® centers in Puerto Rico alone within the next few years. The Carolina MAACO® is one of two centers owned and operated by franchisee Jaime Mayorga. His first center is located in Toa Baja. His future plans include expanding the business with additional sites in Puerto Rico. A third franchise center operates in Ponce.
