Always Best Care Senior Services Selected as One of Top 50 Franchises for Veterans

August 27, 2014 // Franchising.com // Roseville, CA – Always Best Care Senior Services has been named one of the top 50 franchises for veterans by the World Franchising Network, as featured in USA Today’s "Franchising Today" section on June 20, 2014.

Based in Roseville, CA just outside the state capitol in Sacramento, Always Best Care is one of the nation’s leading providers of non-medical in-home care, assisted living placement services and skilled home health care. The company delivers its services through an international network of more than 180 independently owned and operated franchise territories.

"This is the fourth consecutive year our company had been recognized for its positive impact on veterans," said Michael Newman, founder and CEO of Always Best Care Senior Services. "This is a great honor and I couldn’t be prouder to be recognized for our commitment to making Always Best Care one of the leading companies for our nation’s heroes."

According to Mr. Newman, veterans have the leadership skills and get-it-done attitude that makes for outstanding franchisees. Another critical trait is the ability to be both a leader and a team member. To succeed in franchising, the owner must lead his or her business and the franchise employees, and should also assume a leadership role in community organizations. Veterans excel at meeting these criteria, he said.

"President Obama called for industry to create hundreds of thousands of new jobs for veterans," said Mr. Newman. "We’re taking it a step further by providing not just a job, but a lifelong career opportunity that will allow our nation’s heroes to build a business while making a real difference in people’s lives."

Always Best Care has launched an initiative to award a free franchise to military veterans in every state in the union – 51 free franchises (including the District of Columbia) worth more than $2.6 million! For more information, visit www.ABC4Free.com.

This year’s survey marks the fifth annual listing of the top franchises for veterans by the World Franchising Network (www.WorldFranchising.com). The World Franchising Network selected 50 franchisors from over 300 companies requesting evaluation for inclusion in the article. There was no cost to participate in the survey. Each participating franchisor was required to submit a completed questionnaire which noted both the absolute number and percentage of operating units owned or managed by veterans, as well as the number of veterans in senior management who earned over $80,000 per year.

Founded in 1996, Always Best Care began franchising just seven years ago, and now has more than 185 franchised territories throughout the United States. The company plans to expand to Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and other countries in 2013/2014, according to Mr. Newman. Always Best Care has assisted more than 25,000 seniors representing a wide range of illnesses and personal needs.

Always Best Care continues to be recognized with a multitude of industry honors and awards. In 2013 alone, Always Best Care received more than a dozen different awards for franchise operations, sales and marketing. These include: Best Franchises in America (americasbestfranchises.com); Top 50 Franchises for Minorities (National Minority Franchising Initiative); Fastest Growing Franchises (Entrepreneur Magazine); one of the top low cost franchises (Franchise Business Review) and others.
