American Red Cross, Sport Clips Haircuts Partner to Offer Haircuts to Blood and Platelet Donors

Sport Clips donates free haircut coupons for those who donate during September

August 27, 2014 // Franchising.com // WASHINGTON - The American Red Cross and Sport Clips Haircuts are teaming up to show that "Saving Lives Never Looked So Good." During September, people who donate blood or platelets at ARC Blood Drive 2014 - SM Post 1Red Cross blood drives and blood donation centers will receive a coupon for a free haircut.

"This is a great way for Sport Clips to recognize the contributions of blood donors," said Shaun Gilmore, president of biomedical services at the Red Cross. "Sport Clips locations across the country have teamed up with the Red Cross to give blood donors a fresh new look – just for helping save lives through their blood donation."

The Sport Clips and Red Cross relationship initiated five years ago as a way for Sport Clips to actively engage in the Red Cross mission.

"Sport Clips began our partnership with the Red Cross in the Carolinas in 2009, and we are pleased to grow the program into a nationwide effort," said Martha England, vice president of marketing for Sport Clips.
