Visiting Angels Aggressively Expands International Footprint

Company Announces New Master Franchise Launch in Mexico as Private Duty Home Care Market Grows Worldwide

October 02, 2014 // Franchising.com // Bryn Mawr, Pa. - Visiting Angels, one of our nation's largest in-home senior care companies, continues to aggressively expand its international footprint by launching its first master franchise in Mexico City. VHCI, the international arm of Visiting Angels, fills an urgent need for private in-home care in Mexico as the aging population there explodes. Visiting Angels, with some 470 locations in the United States, began expanding internationally in 1998 and currently has franchise operations in Canada, Brazil, South Korea and now Mexico.

World Wide Silver Surge Triggers Private Home Care Growth

"We're thrilled to start expansion in Mexico as the aging population grows and we can fill a real need for in-home care to help seniors age in place," says David Ritterling, CEO of VHCI. "We see dramatic culture shifts in Mexico as more women enter the workforce, become head of their households and need help taking care of aging loved ones. We will continue to seek out opportunities internationally as the senior populations grow worldwide, creating a growing demand for our services."

New Visiting Angels franchisees, Adolfo Quiroz and Xavier De Uriarte, recognized the need for in-home senior care in Mexico and see Visiting Angels as the perfect fit. They'll open their first Visiting Angels office in Mexico City in November and hope to expand throughout the country.

"After much research, we discovered Visiting Angels has the best support, services and commitment to its international franchisees, clients and caregivers," says De Uriarte, co-owner of the new Visiting Angels master franchise in Mexico City. "As we expand, we will look for new partners in Mexico to buy into this franchise. We're confident that with corporate support, we will grow a very successful company that provides great care to our elderly families who need qualified, compassionate caregivers to help them live at home."

International Expansion

"We have developed an excellent reputation internationally and have overwhelming interest from people all over the world who want to buy into Visiting Angels," says Fabio Scocimara, Director of Visiting Angels' International Development. "The expansion in Mexico is the latest chapter in our international plan as we find and support new business partners throughout the globe, while helping the elderly live comfortably and independently in their own homes."
