Visiting Angels Expands International Footprint

Company Announces new location in Mexico as Private Duty Home Care Market Grows Worldwide

(PRWEB) August 10, 2015 - Visiting Angels, one of our nation’s largest in-home senior care companies, continues to aggressively expand its international footprint with the sale of its second franchise in Mexico. Visiting Home Care International, (VHCI), the international arm of Visiting Angels, fills an urgent need for private in-home care in Mexico as the aging population there explodes.

Worldwide Silver Surge Triggers Private Home Care Growth

“This is living proof that elderly home care is a growing necessity around the world,” said David Ritterling, CEO of VHCI. “We want to help those who are looking to make a difference in people’s lives, not only in the U.S. where we already have well over 500 locations, but also around the world.”

Opening Doors in Mexico

Mexico’s first Visiting Angels franchisees Adolfo Quiroz and Xavier De Uriarte opened their first location in Mexico City in January 2015. They sold their second location to Cecilia and Ana Paula Beguerisse, who will open in the Lomas-Polanco area of Mexico City in November, 2015.

“We’re delighted to accomplish our first franchise sale so fast,” said De Uriarte, Partner Visiting Angels Mexico. “Before acquiring the Visiting Angels franchise, we investigated many opportunities, and one of the reasons we elected to acquire this master franchise was their level of commitment to assist us in every aspect of the business.”

“We see dramatic culture shifts in Mexico as more women enter the workforce, become head of their households and need help taking care of aging loved ones,” De Uriarte said. “We will continue to seek out opportunities in Mexico as the senior populations grows, creating a growing demand for our services.”

Expanding Opportunities

Visiting Angels, with some 500 locations in the United States, began expanding internationally in 1998 and currently has franchise operations in Canada, Brazil, South Korea and now Mexico.

“The elderly population is expected to triple in the next five years and it is becoming increasingly challenging for local authorities to cope with the demand,” said Fabio Scocimara, Director of Visiting Angels’ International Development. “Visiting Angels is an answer to this growing need within the private home care market, and we intend to expand to other new markets in the near future.”
