LearningRx Personal Brain Training Announces November Student of the Month

Former NFL tight end Ben Utecht works hard to save memories

January 19, 2017 // Franchising.com // COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. - One-on-one brain training company LearningRx has announced the November winner of its national Student of the Month contest. Former NFL tight end Ben Utecht came to LearningRx after suffering memory loss due to five concussions. He wanted to do everything he could to retain his existing memories and boost his memory skills to retain and recall new information.

LearningRx Vice President of Research & Development Tanya Mitchell says the company chose Utecht as the Student of the Month because of his hard work to protect the precious memories of his daughters. ”Ben trained five days a week for four months and had tremendous changes,” says Mitchell. “We’re also proud of our amazing team at our Savage, Minnesota center. They helped train Ben and had to work hard to keep up with his progress!”

Utecht has just released a book about his experience with memory loss. “Counting the Days While My Mind Slips Away: A Love Letter to My Family” has been described as “a powerful and emotional love letter to his wife and daughters” and “an inspiring message for all to live every moment fully.” You can read more about Ben Utecht here: http://www.ben-utecht.com/ or purchase his book here: http://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Counting-the-Days-While-My-Mind-Slips-Away/Ben-Utecht/9781501136603.

Each month, LearningRx chooses a Student of the Month from its more than 80 centers across the United States. Highlights of the winner’s improvements from personal brain training are showcased in a video that’s uploaded to http://studentshoutouts.com/.
