Four Points By Sheraton Hakodate Marks Brand Debut in Japan

May 01, 2017 // Franchising.com // Marriott International, Inc.® (NASDAQ: MAR) today announced the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Hakodate, the first Four Points hotel in Japan. Catering to the needs of today’s traveler, the hotel offers approachable design, stylish comfort and the brand’s popular extras including fast and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and the brand’s signature Best Brews™ program.

“Four Points by Sheraton is one of Marriott International’s most rapidly expanding brands globally and we are excited to partner with Ken Corporation, Ltd. to bring the brand to Japan,” said Mike Fulkerson, Vice President, Brand and Marketing, Asia Pacific at Marriott International. “With over 50 hotels in key destinations across Asia, Four Points by Sheraton appeals to smart, independent travelers seeking honest, uncomplicated comfort.”

Located within walking distance of Hakodate JR Station and 20 minutes by car from Hakodate Airport, Four Points by Sheraton Hakodate is the ideal hub for independent travelers to Northern Japan. “We are confident that Four Points by Sheraton Hakodate will resonate with those looking for a comfortable base to explore the region’s many attractions. Hakodate is an interesting destination for both international visitors drawn to the area’s natural attractions, and domestic travellers there for both leisure and business purposes,” added Lothar Pehl, Area Vice President, Japan, Korea and Guam at Marriott International.

The hotel’s guestrooms bring the brand’s classic, timeless style with modern appeal to life. Each streamlined guestroom is equipped to provide uncomplicated comfort featuring the Four Points plush signature bed, flat screen TV and fast and free Wi-Fi to keep guests connected. Guestrooms on upper floors boast city views.
