Lightbridge Academy Announces Plans to Quadruple its Center Presence

By Expanding in Three Untapped States to Cross the 100-Unit Open Mark

The Leading Educational Child Care Center Now Offers Franchise Opportunities in Florida, North Carolina and Ohio.

June 01, 2017 // Franchising.com // With Lightbridge Academy’s 20th anniversary on the horizon, the company is building on unparalleled momentum to quadruple its size in the next five years. The innovative brand has established new standards in the child care industry, and franchise candidates are taking notice.  A main differentiator that appeals to prospective owners and parents alike is its signature Circle of Care philosophy allowing the brand to tap into previously unseen potential within the booming educational child care segment. This strong growth potential is evident across Lightbridge Academy’s entire franchise system, which has grown to 89 franchises either open, under construction or in development.

Lightbridge Academy’s Circle of Care has already extended its reach in new communities this year. The brand opened three new centers, signed five new franchises and is also poised to sign another ten deals before the end of this year. Focused on a multitude of ground breakings and grand opening celebrations, 2017 will be a year of significant development for the brand as it embarks on a mission to quadruple its nationwide presence.

In an effort to build on those openings and capitalize on the rising demand for top tier child care services, Lightbridge Academy is actively expanding its reach outside of its home base in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. And in order to make its expansion goals a reality, the brand is growing through both franchise and company owned locations.

“There’s a definite trend in our annual gross revenues and net income - they’re increasing year-over-year across our entire system,” said Mark Mele, Lightbridge Academy’s senior vice president of franchise sales. “With such a high level of success in our current markets, it’s a natural next step for the Lightbridge Academy brand to continue expanding with the help of franchisees that are the right fit. And by adding to that momentum through new corporate locations, we’re positioned for record breaking growth in the months and years ahead.”

Lightbridge Academy has identified three states in which its model matches perfectly with the surrounding demographics: Florida, North Carolina and Ohio. Each state offers major development markets that provide unlimited growth potential for the brand and its owners, including Orlando, Miami and Fort Lauderdale in Florida; Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh in North Carolina and Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati in Ohio. Not only do those cities fit into Lightbridge Academy’s expansion plans from a regional perspective, they’re also similar to the brand’s core markets where its system has already proven itself to be successful. Each area is filled with busy families and working parents who are looking to enroll their children in an educational child care program that caters to their needs. That’s why Lightbridge Academy has its sights set on crossing the 100-unit open mark over the next three to five years, quadrupling its presence. The brand is planning to sell between 60 and 80 franchises across Florida, North Carolina and Ohio in addition to adding another 40 units in its core states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Northern Virginia.

“Since we started franchising in 2011, we have been creating a strong presence in our core markets throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, where working families are embracing our services as the perfect solution for them and for their children’s educational needs,” said Lightbridge Academy founder and CEO Guy Falzarano. “That strong foundation is now enabling us to expand into new communities at rapid rates. Through this strategic and calculated growth initiative, we’re confident that we’ll be able to quadruple our size within the next five years.”
