Painting with a Twist Studios Nationwide Host Charitable Events to Aid Franchisees Effected by Hurricanes

Leading Paint-and-Sip Company Unites to Host 'Painting with a Purpose' Classes Throughout September and October to Rebuild Destroyed Locations in Southeast

MANDEVILLE, La. - Sept. 15, 2017 // PRNewswire // - Painting with a Twist®, the original and largest paint-and-sip franchise, will host fundraising events throughout September and October to benefit franchisees effected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma through the company's charitable arm, Painting with a Purpose.

After the destruction of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, dozens of Painting with a Twist franchisees and artists in Texas and Florida experienced homes and businesses destroyed by the storm. To help provide financial relief for fellow franchisees, Painting with a Twist studios across the country have banded together to host Painting with a Purpose events throughout September and October where at least 50 percent of each event's proceeds will be donated directly to members of the Painting with a Twist family who have been impacted by the hurricanes.

"We are always humbled to host Painting with a Purpose events for those in need, but right now, it's our own family in the southeast who require our help," said Renee Maloney co-founder of Painting with a Twist. "Painting with a Twist was born out of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, so we understand how lives and businesses can be utterly destroyed by natural disasters."

Hurricane Harvey Painting with a Purpose events will run through the end of September, while Hurricane Irma events will be available until the end of October. More than 100 studios in at least 28 states have already chosen to pitch in relief efforts due to Harvey's destruction, with funds coming from as far as Hawaii, California and Maine.

At Painting with a Twist, guests come together to experience a unique 'getaway' while creating a personal masterpiece of their own. Led by local art instructors, guests paint on bare canvases using paint and brushes provided by the studio. There are more than 9,000 original pieces of copyrighted artwork, ranging from landscapes, abstracts and cityscapes, to creative renderings of animals, iconic buildings and florals, which have all been conceptualized and produced by Painting with a Twist art instructors. In addition to the typical 16" x 20" canvas, the franchise also offers classes using different mediums to paint on including, smaller and larger canvases, seasonal set mini canvases and wooden cutouts, which are available in various seasonal shapes.
