Curio Collection by Hilton™ Adds Three Properties in Iconic American Cities

From bustling Manhattan to vibrant Seattle, these distinct properties are each richly steeped in local history, culture and personality

September 25, 2017 // Franchising.com // MCLEAN, Va. - Curio Collection by Hilton, announced the signing of three new hotels today - each in a key U.S. city that contributes to the fabric of America. These properties - Martinique New York on Broadway, The Charter Seattle and The Cincinnatian Hotel - were handpicked to join the exclusive collection of more than 40 upper upscale hotels and resorts.

"These one-of-a-kind properties truly embody the independent spirit of our collection for their vibrant locales and unique character," said Mark Nogal, global head, Curio Collection by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton. "From Manhattan's world-famous theater district to the influential Pacific Northwest hub of Seattle, each of these properties accelerates our efforts to build our authentic collection brands in markets that reach travelers seeking original, independent hotels."

Founded in 2014, Curio Collection by Hilton, a global portfolio of upper upscale independent hotels and resorts, is comprised of properties around the world with more than 50 hotels in the pipeline. Some additional details on what makes these properties so unique include:

  • Martinique New York on Broadway (Opening Q3 2018) - Built in the 1800s and holding a spot on the Historic Hotels of America register, the French Renaissance style building anchors the bustling theater district and nearby Fifth Avenue shops and dining scene.
  • The Charter Seattle (Opening Q3 2018) - A sleek, 16-story hotel is being built just one block from the iconic Pike Place Market in the legendary Pacific Northwest city. In a city that stakes claim to Microsoft, Starbucks and Grunge music, the property allows guests to explore its biggest arts and music attractions from the Seattle Art Museum and The Seattle Symphony live.
  • The Cincinnatian Hotel (Opening Q2 2019) - Located in the birthplace of professional baseball, authentic Cincinnati chili and the William Howard Taft National Historic Site, this 19th-Century hotel boldly honors the heritage of this seminal American city.
