Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids Opening in Coconut Creek

Aims to make haircuts more relaxing for both kids and parents

January 22, 2018 // Franchising.com // Salt Lake City, Utah - Children’s haircuts are about to be more fun than ever now that a Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids will be opening on January 24, in the Coconut Creek area. Located at 6554 N. State Road 7, the new salon is the first Cookie Cutters in the Coconut Creek area, and the first of three that locals Julian Alexander and his wife, Rachele, are committed to opening over the next few years.

“I’m an entrepreneur at heart and it has been my goal to one day have my own business,” said Julian. “After working in corporate America for 20+ years, an opportunity presented itself and I decided that the timing couldn’t be more right to pursue my dream.”

Julian is no stranger to operating a business. Prior to Cookie Cutters, he spent over two decades in corporate finance at major hospitality companies such as Royal Caribbean International, Kerzner International Resorts and office retail giant Office Depot. Rachele is a paralegal with over 20 years of experience in banking and education - she was part of the Teachers Union in Southern Florida. After Julian was laid off in 2017, the duo spent time researching different business ventures that fit their passions. The couple has a 6 year old son who was also an influence in their decision to open a Cookie Cutters.

Cookie Cutters offers an interactive haircut experience that both children and parents won’t soon forget. Upon entering the salon, children are welcomed by an in-store playground where they can climb and slide. Professional hairstylists are trained to work with all types of children, from the wigglers to the ones that sit still, and are additionally trained to work with children on the spectrum. Come time for the haircut, each station on the cutting floor is outfitted with unique fantasy chairs - from race cars to motorcycles, firetrucks to airplanes - as well as televisions for the kids to watch shows or play video games. With a balloon, lollipop and a smile at the end of each haircut, the Cookie Cutters experience is designed to keep children coming back again and again.

“We both have had a multitude of experience working with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, and have learned how to deliver a great customer experience,”” added Rachele. “Little ones can be terrified by the haircut experience - the loud buzz of clippers, the confinement in a chair and the orders from a stranger to sit still. Cookie Cutters has designed its approach to put children at ease and ensure that they always leave the salon with a smile on their face.”

Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids in Coconut Creek is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
