A Place At Home Welcomes New Franchisee

March 27, 2018 // Franchising.com // LOS ANGELES - On March 14, 2018, Patrick Fresch became the latest entrepreneur to embrace the A Place At Home franchising opportunity and became the second franchisee in the system. Fresch will be the first franchisee in South Bay, Los Angeles territory where he’s been a part of the local community for over 47 years.

Fresch has already recruited his leadership team. He’ll be joined by John Eberhard, the new location’s Operations Manager, and Cathy Fresch, also in operations. The location will launch in the summer of 2018.

Patrick is a seasoned entrepreneur with a track record of successful businesses behind him. He has a BA in Business Management from Arizona State University, where he also played college football.

His most recent accomplishment is the launch of a non-profit organization called Aspire, whose goal is to stop elder abuse, particularly financial abuse.

“After experiencing the later years of my parent’s lives,” said Fresch, “I developed a passion for helping seniors. My community here in South Bay Los Angeles has an aging population. More seniors than ever need help. Many prefer to stay in their family home. A Place At Home stood out to me because their founders have the right values and the right reasons for being in this industry.”

Fresch’s territory will cover Palo Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, San Pedro, Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Hawthorne, Gardena, Harbor City, Lomita and Carson. Jerod Evanich and Dustin Distefano hope to expand their model of senior care from coast to coast.

They launched the company in 2012, experienced exponential growth, and began franchising last year.

“We truly believe the best way to give seniors the best possible care is to partner with passionate, business-minded professionals who have ownership of their business,” says Evanich. “Franchising allows us to share the continuum of care model across the nation. As seniors navigate the complexities of the aging process our vision is to provide them with one professional care company they can depend on.”

The co-founders stress anyone looking to start their own APAH business must first be shining examples of the company’s, “We are CARE (Compassionate, Accountable, Respectful, Ethical)” philosophy and core values. If a franchisee is seen to have these values, Distefano and Evanich then help them parlay their professional background and acumen into running a successful APAH business.

“Pat’s personal values and mission aligned perfectly with ‘We are CARE.’ This really stood out to me right away,” says Distefano. “He has been a coach and a teacher of kids and an advocate for seniors all his life.”

As for Fresch?

“We’re ready to serve the needs of seniors in South Bay.”
