Progressive New Music School is Ready to Rock Redmond, WA

Bach to Rock Opens with Community Party on September 15, 2018

August 28, 2018 // Franchising.com // Bach to Rock (B2R), America’s music school for students of all ages, proudly announces the opening of a new school in Redmond, Washington. The community is invited to the free grand opening festivities on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 8451 164th Ave NE, #120, Redmond, Washington, 98052. Attendees are welcome to tour the school, enjoy a free music lesson, learn about individual lessons and group classes, try out free preschooler classes, enter prize drawings and giveaways, check out the recording studio, and enjoy performances by instructors. This location marks Bach to Rock’s first school in Washington and its 35th in the country.

“Redmond is a thriving city that places a high value on music education. Our music enrichment program will perfectly align with the spirit of this community. We are excited to introduce Bach to Rock to families here,” said President of Bach to Rock, Brian Gross. “A Bach to Rock music education is synonymous with fun, cool and innovative. You won’t see solitary and boring music lessons at Bach to Rock,” continued Gross. The school will serve students from Redmond, Bellevue, Sammamish and the surrounding Eastside neighborhoods.

New Bach to Rock franchisees Kayo Stone and Jack Popovciuc are the proud owners of the Redmond school. The energetic husband and wife team is passionate about inspiring a new generation of musicians. Kayo left her 16-year career at Microsoft to focus on setting up Bach to Rock Redmond. “It was scary leaving Microsoft, but I had a strong vision of what I wanted to accomplish. I knew I would forever regret not doing it. I grew up playing violin and wish I could have attended a school like this,” said Kayo Stone.

With Bach to Rock, students learn to play today’s hits and jam with other kids from the start. It’s more of a group activity or team sport. Jack Popovciuc shared, “Our daughter started to play classical piano from the age of six. After a few years, getting her to practice was a daily battle. Recently, we switched up the genre and gave her a choice of songs that she loves to hear on the radio that are in our B2R curriculum – like Taylor Swift, Imagine Dragons and Sara Bareilles – and now she is the one who wants to practice!” He added, “Typically one to shy away from the limelight, she now dreams of her friends taking up vocals and guitar and them all being in a girl band together.”

At Bach to Rock, students receive a solid music education while getting to play the music they like, which is ideal for both children and parents. Bach to Rock Redmond will offer a variety of programs for students of all ages including: individual and group lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drum, and classical instruments such as clarinet, sax and more; music programs for preschoolers and toddlers; beginning piano for children in grades K-2; along with summer camps and birthday parties. Bach to Rock also offers MyB2R, an online dashboard offering customers real-time access to student progress and more. MyB2R is the only digital service of its kind in the music school industry, and provides the ability to track student advancement, schedule lessons, obtain homework and stream over 300 pre-recorded songs to practice at home.

Changing the Way Students Learn Music

Bach to Rock is reshaping music education on a national scale by turning solitary, boring music lessons into a group activity that is more like a team sport. B2R focuses on providing a well-balanced music education because, ultimately, that is what parents are looking for. Unlike other music school franchises, Bach to Rock has an extensive curriculum. Students learn the intricacies of music — from theory to how to read music. Bach to Rock is the music school kids would have designed for themselves. They get to jam with other kids right away and play current hits. The learning is the same, but the enjoyment factor is much higher.
