Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids Opening in Edgewater

Aims to make haircuts a more memorable experience for both kids and parents

August 29, 2018 // Franchising.com // Salt Lake City, Utah - Children’s haircuts are more fun than ever now that Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids- Edgewater is coming to New Jersey Gold Coast.

Located at 68 The Promenade within City Place, the new salon is slated to open later this August, and it will be one of three salons that will be owned by husband and wife team Robert Kennison and Erica Liang, however Erica will run the daily operations of the salon.

“There is a growing demand for quality children’s salons in the New Jersey area and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Cookie Cutters to the families of Edgewater,” said Liang. “When families come to Cookie Cutters they discover how much fun a children’s haircut can actually be. At our store, kids will be able to choose their favorite seating among a selection of fun vehicles and choose what entertainment to watch at each station. We’ll also have play area for the kids to enjoy in the front of the store. It is truly a unique haircutting environment that kids will love. ”

Prior to Cookie Cutters, Erica’s experience as a financial consultant has taken her from business valuation to forensic accounting investigations with companies ranging in a multitude of industries such as technology, energy, pharmaceuticals, retail and more. While operating her Cookie Cutters salons, Liang will continue her work as an independent financial consultant..

“As a mother with a 6 year old boy - I know how hard it is to get him to sit down for a haircut and find a salon that he feels comfortable with. After talking with other friends who have kids, I noticed there was a need for a salon that was tailored to children” added Liang. “With Cookie Cutters’ leadership expertise and brand vision, we know it will work well in the local community and we look forward to become an integral part of families’ lives in Edgewater.”

Cookie Cutters offers an interactive haircut experience that both children and parents won’t soon forget. Upon entering the salon, children are welcomed by an in-store playground where they can climb and slide. Come time for the haircut, each station on the cutting floor is outfitted with unique fantasy chairs - from race cars to firetrucks and airplanes - as well as individual televisions for the kids to watch shows and movies. With a balloon, lollipop and a smile at the end of each haircut, the Cookie Cutters experience is designed to keep children coming back again and again. First ever haircuts for toddlers receive a special commemorative package with photo and hair clipping.

‘Our goal is to provide all children, including those with special needs or sensory issues, with an enjoyable experience, pleasant memories and the desire to keep coming back,” noted Liang. “Our stylists love kids, and Cookie Cutters has designed its approach to put children at ease if they are nervous about getting their haircut.”

Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids in Edgewater is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
