Over One Million Zappka Users in One Month!

Zabka’s mobile application still among top 3 most downloaded shopping apps

July 24, 2019 // Franchising.com // Poland - The mobile application of the Zabka retail chain exceeded one million users within the first month after the completion of the pilot. What is more, Zappka has become one of the most popular free applications on Google Play and the App Store, downloaded more often than such applications as: Youtube, Facebook, or Messenger.

Our application is in the forefront of the most downloaded applications in Poland, and we have no online sales. This is the best proof that we fully responded to customer expectations, creating new opportunities for presenting our offer combined with a loyalty program. Every day there are tens of thousands of new registrations, and the sales of products promoted in the application are constantly growing – emphasized Tomasz Blicharski, Chief Financial & Development Officer at Zabka.

The application attracts users with interesting promotions and opportunities to collect zapps and exchange them for prizes. Each zloty spent in the Zabka chain is worth 4 zapps – so far the users of zappka have collected several hundred million of them. The most frequently received prize is a hot dog, offered in Zabka Cafés. If we wanted to place all the hot dogs collected as prizes in the application on top of one another, their height would be equal to over 42 Eiffel towers or 136 football fields.

Zabka plans to enrich the application with new features and communicate its benefits with marketing campaigns. One of the flagship products of the network, which application users can already buy at an attractive price, are the Foodini fruit and vegetable smoothies, conquering the hearts and taste buds of the customers. Zappka and Foodini are also the stars of a recently launched TV campaign.

The application is available free of charge on Google Play for Android users and on the App Store for devices running on iOS. It can be downloaded at – Android: android.zappka.pl and iOS: ios.zappka.pl. The terms and conditions of Zappka are available in the application in the “Settings” tab under “Terms of service”.
