UNITS Moving and Portable Storage Welcomes New Franchise Owner in Atlanta

Mexico City native Gyl Grinberg “excited” to expand UNITS’ Footprint in America’s 11th largest Metropolitan Area in Atlanta, GA

October 01, 2019 // Franchising.com // CHARLESTON, S.C. - UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage, a national moving and portable storage franchise headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, is happy to welcome Gyl Grinberg as the new owner of UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Atlanta. The Atlanta franchise was originally opened in 2007 and is positioned to be one of the system’s most successful franchises.

“We’ve known the opportunities in Atlanta are some of the best in America, so we’re very excited to partner with Gyl and provide the support and experience to lead him to success,” UNITS Moving and Portable Storage CEO Michael McAlhany said. “Gyl and his family are a great fit for our organization so we couldn’t be happier to welcome him aboard.”

Born in Mexico City, Grinberg immigrated to the United States in 2001 to run his family’s U.S.-based steel business with his brother. The family sold the business in 2017 giving Grinberg, now 46 years old, the opportunity for a second entrepreneurial journey in America. He chose UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Atlanta for its growth potential.

“The UNITS model has many of the metrics I was looking for in a business, including high margins, low employee’s, and scalability,” he said. “The Atlanta market is a great opportunity and something I can grow.”

UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Atlanta operates in a 22,0000 square foot facility located at 555 Riverside Pkwy, Austell, GA 30168.

Founded in 2004, UNITS Moving and Portable Storage launched during the moving and portable storage industry boom. Now serving more than 500 cities throughout North America, UNITS Moving and Portable Storage provides clean, weather-resistant containers up to 16 feet in length.
