Abrakadoodle Celebrates the “Power of the Brand” during 15th Annual Conference

November 19, 2019 // Franchising.com // Sterling, VA - Sterling, VA-based Abrakadoodle’s 15th annual conference held November 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency Reston Town Center, brought together franchise owners from across the country with the theme “Power of the Brand.” What is the power of the Abrakadoodle brand? “Our vision from the start has been to create the very best in visual arts education programs for children and to deliver the highest quality programs to children, which is reflected in everything we do,” remarked Rosemarie Hartnett, President and Co-Founder of Abrakadoodle. In addressing conferees, she added, “The standards we established, the quality of our programs, our core values and creative culture – in this way we build the brand’s identity – and our enthusiasm continues to be contagious!”

How do you recognize a superstar in franchising? Rosemarie Hartnett presented long-time top performer Dawna Kelly, Educational Director/Owner of Abrakadoodle Detroit with an original canvas created by French artist Elisabeth Estivalet. “An original piece of art seemed like a wonderful way to recognize Dawna and Al Kelly, who have reached new heights of performance and are true originals that make our brand shine brightly,” said Ms. Harnett.

Throughout conference, Abrakadoodle celebrated inspiring, authentic stories of community service and new heights of achievement by franchisee brand builders. Part of the power of the Abrakadoodle brand is its ongoing, innovative curriculum development to support ongoing classes and camps – with collaborative input from franchise owners - created with innovative and fun themes from STEAM Dreams to Myths and Legends, Art Through the Ages, Nursery Rhyme Time and much more. A highlight of the conference was a hands-on session in which franchise owners and teachers collaborated in small groups to create a unique Abrakadoodle Adventure Park – a fun introduction to one of Abrakadoodle’s latest summer camp programs. Additional sessions brought franchise owners together to discuss such important topics as how to effectively identify and manage multiple market opportunities, as well as building an organization and business growth that builds the brand and more.

Ms. Hartnett reviewed an impressive year in which Abrakadoodle and its owners demonstrated the Power of the Brand in many ways. A tribute to brand excellence, Abrakadoodle was named in the top 50 of Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top 200 Global Franchises for 2019. With a strong international presence, Abrakadoodle serves more than 200,000 children in China and is growing in Singapore, Mexico and Australia. Abrakadoodle’s announced continued brand expansion in the U.S. with brand new locations in Greensboro, NC, Northern Westchester County, NY, Trumbull, CT and Hackettstown, NJ. A number of awards were conferred, recognizing brand champions in the such areas as outstanding program performance, community service, leadership, creative promotion of the brand and more, which are outlined in detail on Abrakadoodle’s blog (www.abrakadoodle.com/blog).
