March 31, 2020 // Franchising.com // MILFORD, OHIO - Penn Station East Coast Subs has donated $161,000 to Down syndrome organizations across the country after its first systemwide roundup campaign. From March 1 to March 21, customers were able to roundup their change or their dollars as a donation to their local Down syndrome organization. Penn Station, Inc. also donated $50,000 to the National Down Syndrome Adoption Network.

“We are grateful for our customers’ generosity and the strength and resilience of our franchisees and valued guests, who continued to support their local Down syndrome organizations during this trying time in our country,” said Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station East Coast Subs. “We were thrilled to expand our roundup campaign systemwide this year after a successful trial run in Dayton and Cincinnati in 2019. Local Down syndrome organizations provide extraordinary education, support and advocacy for people with Down syndrome. We are honored to be able to support Down syndrome organizations throughout the country with this donation.”

The mission of the Down Syndrome Association is to empower individuals, educate families, enhance communities and celebrate the extraordinary lives of people with Down syndrome.
