PetWellClinic’s Newest Franchise Location Coming to North Knoxville

Veterinarian owned-and-operated walk-in clinics rely on openness to provide high-quality, affordable preventative and wellness care to clients.

April 21, 2020 // Franchising.com // KNOXVILLE, Tennessee - PetWellClinic is excited to announce its newest franchise location will be coming to North Knoxville near the Emory Rd. exit on I-75N. Located at 713 E. Emory Road, PetWellClinic’s latest addition will be owned and operated by former PetWellClinic associate veterinarian Dr. Emily Harmon. Dr. Harmon’s PetWellClinic - which will serve the greater North Knoxville area, including the Powell and Halls communities - is expected to open late Summer/early Fall of 2020.

PetWellClinic, whose first clinic opened its doors back in 2010 and started a radical shift in thinking about how veterinary care is provided, launched a veterinary franchise system in 2019 focused on delivering this model to cities across the country by empowering veterinarians to be their own boss.

Dr. Emily Harmon, a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine, joined the PetWellClinic team in 2018 as an associate veterinarian immediately after graduating. After a year spent developing as an associate veterinarian at PetWellClinic, Dr. Emily jumped at the opportunity to strike out on her own as a practice owner when PetWellClinic launched its veterinary franchise system.

Currently operating multiple company affiliates in East Tennessee, numerous five-star client reviews affirm the success of the PetWellClinic model. “Very friendly staff, quick to get in and out,” one client writes on Google, “The best service around for the money!” Another writes, “Wonderful veterinarian [and] staff! I have NEVER been to a better vet and I’ve had animals my whole life. I can’t brag enough about this place. Such a blessing.”

PetWellClinic also equips veterinarians - its target franchisees - with the tools and resources to develop into successful, independent business owners. “The barriers to entry have been growing over the past decade with rising costs and private investors stepping into the market,” says founder and owner Sam Meisler, DVM. “The process of graduating, joining a practice as an associate, then going on to run your own full-service animal hospital seems to be less of a feasible route than ever before. Until now.”
