Get Ready to Bare Your Beauty Detroit: LunchboxWax Signs Agreement to Open Five Locations

Multi-Brand Franchise Operator to Bring the Brand’s First Inclusive Waxing Salon Concept to Michigan

July 14, 2020 // Franchising.com // BOISE, Idaho – “An all-inclusive place for Every Body” will open soon in Detroit.

LunchboxWax, the premier full-service, speed-waxing salon, announced it has signed an agreement with seasoned multi-brand franchise owner Jamie Scott to open five locations, starting in Detroit and expanding to East Lansing and Grand Rapids. The first forthcoming location is expected to open in Fall 2020.

The wax-only salon will offer a full range of hair removal services from top to toes, bottoms to brows and cheeks to chest. Using its proprietary three-step speed-waxing process, LunchboxWax treats guests with a “soft wax” technique that is more effective and less painful than traditional waxing. As the local owner, Scott is leading waxologist recruitment, prioritizing talented professionals that are passionate about providing an unparalleled guest experience. Scott will also oversee daily business operations to ensure unparalleled service.

“After experiencing the impeccable culture at LunchboxWax, I was inspired by the brand’s unmatched customer experience and knew it was the perfect business venture for myself,” said Scott. “I’m looking forward to bringing the cutting-edge speed waxing techniques to communities across Detroit and creating opportunities for waxologists to grow alongside LunchboxWax. The chic, modern and unique environment of LunchboxWax will soon be introduced to Michigan and I cannot wait to open our doors.”

In addition to LunchboxWax, Scott owns multiple Two Men and a Truck locations in suburban Detroit with her husband, for the past 20 years. As she transitions into sole ownership with LunchboxWax, Scott is eager to make the shift from moving furniture to moving hair and bringing the first location into Michigan.

“Jamie embodies the LunchboxWax values seamlessly with her dedication to putting culture and people first,” said Debi Lane, CEO and founder of LunchboxWax. “She has an impressive business ownership background and truly cares about her customers, which makes her the perfect person to introduce LunchboxWax to Michigan and show the community what makes our experience so special. Our team is looking forward to seeing LunchboxWax enter into a new territory and supporting Jamie as she opens her 5 salons across the state.”

Since Lunchbox’s inception in 2010, it has been the brand’s mission to empower our guests through waxing services that allow people to be confident, hair-free and carefree in mere minutes. It offers various options such as monthly Memberships and Wax Series which gives guests the option to stay smooth year-round and save money. Every detail of LunchboxWax is designed to bring the caring, authentic connection of an upscale boutique into the sensory-based concept providing a luxurious experience for the guest.
