Illustrious Childhood Art Education Program Honors Franchise Owners at Virtual Convention

September 11, 2020 // Franchising.com // FREDERICK, Md. - Marsha Garcia, owner of Young Rembrandts of Frederick and Montgomery Counties, received the Winning Spirit award at the company’s recent virtual convention.

“While our convention looked a bit different this year, it was wonderful to (virtually) come together to celebrate the resiliency of our program, brand and franchise system,” said Bette Fetter, Founder and CEO of Young Rembrandts. “This has been a challenging time, but it’s thanks to franchisees like Marsha that Young Rembrandts continues to be a trusted partner in communities around the world.”

Garcia and her team were presented the Winning Spirit award, a special recognition given to franchisees that show the true spirit of Young Rembrandts. This franchisee is committed to being a strong and influential part of the system by bringing the power, passion and significance of drawing to a generation of children. Additionally, this Winning Spirit participates in system best practices, embraces change which brings new prosperity and recognition to Young Rembrandts and works with the Home Office and fellow franchisees to represents our Core Values of Passion, Integrity, Respect, Excellence and Communication with Understanding.

Young Rembrandts offers a unique curriculum that solely focuses on cognitive development through drawing while engaging both the analytic and creative learner. The program is based on the belief that when foundational art skills are taught to preschoolers and elementary students, there is a strong correlation between that involvement in the arts and future strong academic performance and personal achievement.

Art fans in Frederick and Montgomery counties can join in on the fun right away with Young Rembrandts’ new online class offering. The classes provide fresh, interactive content each week that allows children to continue to develop their fundamental art literacy skills and academic knowledge from home. Young Rembrandts Maryland is offering both in-person and virtual lessons for the 2020/2021 school year.
