Buff City Soap Opening Two Soap Makeries in Louisville

Handmade soap retailer opening its first Louisville locations weeks after Central Kentucky expansion

October 14, 2020 // Franchising.com // Louisville, KY. - Buff City Soap continues its rapid expansion throughout Kentucky as the brand opens two new Soap Makeries in Louisville. Known for its handmade bath and body products, the new stores will serve scent lovers in the Nulu and St. Matthews neighborhoods.

The two new soap makeries will be located at:

  • St. Matthews, KY: 4600 Shelbyville Road, Suite 651. The makery is slated to open on October 23.
  • Nulu Louisville, KY: 815 East Market Street. The makery is slated to open on November 9.

“It is an exciting time to be part of Buff City Soap, especially as we continue our local expansion in the Louisville market,” said Rick Kueber, franchise owner of Louisville Soap, LLC. “Our recent opening in Jeffersonville has been a great success, and we are confident that the residents of St. Matthews and the Nulu area will love our handmade soap and body products.”

Each Buff City Soap store offers more than 30 unique and customizable scents across dozens of handcrafted soap products; including its famous soap bars, bath bombs, foaming hand soap, and even laundry soap. The brand’s products are crafted by local artisans at the in-store Makeries, which allow guests to customize the scent and ingredients used in the process to create a unique scent profile.

“Our customers love how transparent our soap-making process is,” stated Kueber. “When they walk into our stores, they are able to select the different ingredients and scents they want in their soap products, and they are comforted by the customization that they can experience. It’s something completely unique to Buff City Soap.”

Founded in 2013, Buff City Soap has created a high quality alternative to commercial soap products full of harsh chemicals, detergents, animal fats, and sulfates. By giving customers the chance to see the whole making process live in each Soap Makery, Buff City Soap is disrupting the consumer goods industry by focusing on transparency of ingredients and process.

Louisville Soap, LLC in the last two months has opened four stores. The company recently opened stores in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Jeffersonville, Indiana, and the company has plans for additional stores throughout the southern Indiana and Kentucky marketplace.

The store hours for the new makeries will be Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 pm.
