2nd Family Awards A Franchise In Houston, Texas With Plans To Open Later This Year

Days after announcing a new location in Dallas, Texas, the up-start senior in-home care company announces another new location in Houston.

ELDERSBURG, MD. (PRWEB) October 19, 2020 - 2nd Family announced today that the company awarded a second franchise territory this month. The newest location is owned by business partners Matt Miller and Russell Ahmann of Houston, Texas. Located on the west side of the city, the location will officially be known as 2nd Family of the Houston Galleria and is scheduled to open by the end of this year.

This will be the 4th location nationally for 2nd Family. Last week, the company announced that 2nd Family of North Dallas would also be opening by the end of 2020. With offices currently operating in Baltimore, Maryland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the brand is poised to start strong in the state of Texas, providing home care services to senior citizens in two of the state's largest cities.

Speaking of the decision to join 2nd Family, Matt Miller said, "(Russell and I) have been friends close to 20 years, and I think we have a unique set of experiences to bring to the table, to a franchise like this. We've spent quite a bit of time looking into it and after a lot of due diligence, a lot of conversations, we feel really good about where we're at with 2nd Family now."

Prior to officially joining 2nd Family, the business partners visited the corporate office for a "Meet the Family" day which included a look at the inner workings of the business and a chance to meet some key personnel.

"Meet the Family day was great," said Russell Ahmann. "We were able to come here and spend most of the day looking at the ins and outs of the daily work...It was a really great day and we really learned a lot about the business."

Founded in 2012 by cousins Chad Tracey and Joshua Markland in memory of their grandmother's 10-year struggle with Alzheimer's disease, 2nd Family's mission is simple: improve the care process to help families keep their loved ones at home.
