Wellness-Focused, Membership-Based Dog Grooming Franchise Ready to Service More Pet Parents and Their Dogs With New Locations

January 12, 2021 // Franchising.com // Scenthound, a health and wellness-focused grooming franchise, is expanding its reach with nine “Scenters” projected to open during the first quarter of this year and an additional 18 units sold so far. The brand currently has eight corporate and franchised locations open and is gaining momentum.

Most recently, Scenthound franchisees, Jason, Stacy and Brandon Klein, opened the first of three new franchise locations. "We wanted to do something as a family. So, we wanted to have a business that we could all do together," said Jason Klein. "We realized that we all love dogs and started to investigate options involving dogs. We found Scenthound and fell in love."

“I’m very excited for Jason, Stacy and Brandon. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them,” said Tim Vogel, Scenthound CEO. “Not only are we expanding in various markets nationally, but we are strengthening our presence right here at home. We are thrilled to be joined by some amazing franchise partners who are ready to take the pet industry by storm with us.”

The Scenthound concept was founded in 2015 after Vogel spent over 10 years in the dog grooming business, where he got a first-hand look at the shortcomings and lack of education within the industry. With Scenthound, Vogel made it his mission to provide well-rounded and affordable care to pet parents and their pets.

“What’s exciting about our model is the simplicity on the other side of complexity,” said Vogel. “We’ve really spent the time to build a scalable, replicable model. We’ve put the systems and processes in place so that it’s easy to operate.”

Scenthound is looking for more franchisees, like the Kleins, who share a passion for customer service and entrepreneurship. As new members of the “pack,” franchisees receive extensive training and ongoing support on everything from employee onboarding to public outreach.

“With our model, you don’t have to be an expert on dogs,” said Vogel. “You just need to have a passion for what we’re doing, care about helping people practice love on a daily basis… and love dogs. If you have those things, we can give you the rest.”
