Penn Station East Coast Subs Launches 3rd Annual Roundup Campaign For Down Syndrome Awareness

Systemwide campaign will raise money for local Down syndrome organizations March 1-21

February 19, 2021 // Franchising.com // MILFORD, OHIO - Penn Station East Coast Subs will host its third annual fundraising campaign for Down syndrome awareness March 1 to March 21. All Penn Station restaurants will participate in the roundup campaign, which will raise money for local Down syndrome organizations.

“After the success we had with the round-up campaigns in 2019 and 2020, we’re excited to bring it back this year and help a lot of great local organizations,” said Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station. “Our mission is to support the ongoing work of Down syndrome organizations in all of our markets. These organizations are empowering individuals, educating families, enhancing communities and celebrating the extraordinary lives of people with Down syndrome.”

All cashiers will ask customers if they want to round up for Down syndrome during the fundraising campaign. It will also be an option for online ordering. Penn Station will reward any customer who donates $2 or more with a bouceback card for a buy one, get one free sub on a future visit.

Last year’s roundup campaign raised $161,000, which was donated to Down syndrome organizations across the country. This year, Penn Station hopes to raise more than 2020’s campaign. Penn Station, Inc. will also make its annual $50,000 donation to fund the National Down Syndrome Adoption Network.
