New 911 Driving School to Shift Gears for Student Drivers in Bellingham

March 23, 2021 // Franchising.com // BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Driver’s education in Bellingham will soon take a turn for the better.

911 Driving School announced today that it has signed a franchise agreement with Brian Chissus and Rob Brandland to bring a new location to the Bellingham area. Using a relevant, research-backed curriculum developed by experts, the 911 Driving School will change the way local students learn to drive. The 911 method focuses on teaching new drivers how to drive defensively to remain collision-free through coaching. It also provides parents with opportunities to be involved in their child’s driver’s education experience and teaches them how to be more effective coaches for their new teen drivers.

“We want to make a concerted effort to stress the importance of driver safety and instill good driving habits in Bellingham’s young drivers,” said Chissus, co-owner of the new 911 Driving School in Bellingham. “Our instructors are coaches who are trained on youth culture and on how the young adult brain absorbs information. We teach teenagers to drive well, but more than that, we motivate them to use what they know to stay collision-free. We look forward to helping students build safe, defensive driving habits that will last a lifetime.”

Chissus retired after 27 years of military service and has been a police officer for 20 years and Brandland has been a police officer for more than 20 years.

“I see this as an opportunity to invest in the safety of the Bellingham community,” said Joe Giammona, CEO of 911 Driving School. “Brian and Rob’s commitment to the Bellingham area is outstanding. They will prioritize the education and safety of the students and will strive to make the roads a safer place for new drivers and local residents.”

The new Bellingham 911 Driving School is located at 309 Telegraph Rd in Bellingham.

911 Driving School was created to inspire, educate, engage and motivate drivers to perform safely and responsibly behind the wheel. It has developed multiple programs for teen, adult, government and corporate fleet drivers that go beyond traditional driving lessons or driver’s education courses. Instructors prepare students mentally for driving on the road by helping them understand the driving environment, develop the ability to assess their risks and capabilities in a variety of different driving situations, and help them understand the limits of their vehicle.
