School Of Rock Colorado Springs Is Ready To Rock N’ Roll

Grand opening event includes live music, school tours and raffles

April 21, 2021 // Franchising.com // Colorado Springs, Colo. - School of Rock announces the grand opening of a new school in the Colorado Springs community. The grand opening will take place at 7535 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO, 80920, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday, April 24. Along with a ceremonial guitar smashing (School of Rock’s version of a ribbon-cutting), the event will offer live music, school tours and raffles. COVID precautions will be taken with proper social distancing and masks are required.

School of Rock Colorado Springs is owned by music enthusiasts Brandon and Heather Wyatt.  Brandon grew up watching his rock star idols on MTV and has played guitar since he was a teenager. Heather also is inspired by music as her father was a musician who played in multiple bands. Perhaps their most impactful connection to music occurred when the couple’s son attended a School of Rock in Texas and they observed the positive effect it had on him.

“We saw first-hand the positive impact, both socially and musically, that School of Rock had on our son,” said the Wyatts. ”Our family wants to share this performance-based music education experience and our personal love for music with the local community. Our school is already enrolling for summer season programs and summer camps, so we can’t wait to inspire our new students to rock on stage and in life.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Frank Zappa. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“Brandon and Heather Wyatt are exactly the type of people we look for to lead a School of Rock franchise,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock “They are passionate about their community and eager to provide opportunities for students to further their music education. I look forward to watching School of Rock Colorado Springs grow as their students thrive.”
