Burn Boot Camp Makes New Mexico Debut with Signings of Three New Franchises

The Boutique Fitness Brand Hits Significant Strides with Franchise Expansion Strategies; Closes in on its Year End Goal of Opening 400 Gyms Nationwide

June 16, 2021 // Franchising.com // NEW MEXICO - Burn Boot Camp continues to meet milestones in 2021. The brand recently announced it has signed three agreements to bring franchises to New Mexico - The first ever in the state.

The Rio Rancho location will be owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo, Carolotta and Steven Park, who have been members of the Decatur, Georgia location for 18 months. Originally from Albuquerque, they decided to move back to New Mexico to open their own Burn Boot Camp franchise. In addition to their strong passions for fitness, the Parks bring a variety of experiences and professional backgrounds to the table. Rio Rancho is slated to open within the next 12 months.

“We pride ourselves on being more than a gym - we’re a movement. Our teams take a 360-degree approach to our members’ fitness journeys,” shared Devan Kline, CEO and co-founder of Burn Boot Camp. “The Burn Boot Camp community has seen significant growth over the years, and while the strength of our brand and community was tested during the pandemic, we came out winning. These recent signings in New Mexico mark the 39th state we’ve added to our roster, and our team doesn’t plan to slow down anytime soon. Emerging from the pandemic, it’s crystal clear that our country is in dire need of a sense of community, and Burn Boot Camp is here to provide just that.

Burn Boot Camp also signed a multi-unit agreement to develop the East Albuquerque and Santa Fe markets, which will be owned by another husband-and-wife duo, Eric McDermott and Anna Ma. Both with backgrounds in finance and business, coupled with Eric’s hometown Albuquerque roots and time served in the US Army, they look forward to motivating and inspiring more women through mental and physical health. This location is slated to open in late 2022.

The national fitness concept did not let the pandemic hinder their growth goals and instead, used it to fuel their efforts in expanding the tight-knit member community better known as #BurnNation. The brand launched virtual training and live-streamed workouts through their app which is continuing to be built out with new enhancements. Burn Boot Camp recognizes the importance and overall industry shift to offer both ‘mind and body’ training, a trend that will continue well into the future. The consistent growth of the franchise has led to Burn Boot Camp’s recent ranking in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500.

Burn Boot Camp is much more than a gym, it’s a community focused on the whole individual. The brand features flexible membership options and is camp-based, scheduling members for 45-minute sessions that target different muscle groups each day of the week. Memberships also include access to its Childwatch program, helping even the busiest of parents to prioritize their wellness, as well as access to focus meetings, which pairs members with a trainer to share nutrition guidance and more. No two workouts are the same and each workout promises to challenge each and every member, regardless of fitness level.
