Scenthound to Open New Grooming “Scenter” in Marietta

Locally Owned Membership-Based Dog Wellness Concept to be Opened by Air Force Veteran

October 12, 2021 // Franchising.com // MARIETTA, Ga. - Scenthound, a wellness-based dog grooming and routine care service, is happy to announce the opening of its newest Georgia location, opening in Marietta late-October. Located at 3162 Johnson Ferry Rd., the new business will be owned and operated by local resident, Rashaun Forrest and his wife, Dr. Georgia Forrest. This will be the first Scenthound location the couple will open in Cobb County.

Rashaun, an Air force veteran with previous franchising experience in the food and real estate industries, became invested in the Scenthound brand out of his sheer love for dogs. With the help of his wife, a local physician, the couple now looks to offer Marietta pet parents an easy and affordable way to carry on the routine maintenance of their dogs.

“We hope to provide an essential service for pet parents who might not realize the importance of caring for their dog on a routine basis,” said local owner Rashaun Forrest. “To establish a new black-owned business in the community that serves those looking to give their dogs the best life possible makes us immensely proud in what we do.”

Scenthound takes a wellness-based approach that is solely dedicated to improving the quality of life for dogs. Embedded in the name, Scenthound focuses on the five core areas of maintenance: Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, and Teeth. The brand’s employees are fully trained to give each dog the care required to stay clean and healthy, and its membership program brings dog parents peace of mind that their dog is getting this necessary care on a routine basis. Pet parents can select an affordable membership plan most appropriate for their dog and purchase additional services as needed.

“Scenthound was first started as a way of offering comprehensive grooming services that cater to all dog breeds,” said Scenthound CEO Tim Vogel.

The Forrests say they plan on using their new business to make a positive difference at the local level through their involvement in Scethound’s Clean Start Program and providing essential services for animals in local police departments, fire departments and homeless shelters.
