Woofie’s & Ellen Zangla Photography Host 8th Annual Paws & Claus Fundraiser

Local pet businesses team up to take pet photos with Santa for Loudoun pet charity

November 10, 2021 // Franchising.com // ASHBURN, Va. - Ashburn-based pet services franchise, Woofie's and Ellen Zangla Photography, are gearing up for their 8th annual Paws & Claus fundraiser on Saturday, November 13th from 8:30am-3:30pm. This year, all proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Friends of Loudoun County Animal Services (FCLAS) which helps to support The Loudoun County Animal Shelter.

Pets will be photographed by Zangla, an award-winning pet photographer, alongside Santa Claus in a professionally designed holiday-themed set. Attendees are being asked to donate $30 or more for each professional photo taken of their pet(s) with all proceeds going directly to FCLAS.

This year, reservations for this popular event sold out within days of its announcement and Woofie’s is expecting well over 200 pets and their people at their flagship Ashburn office where Paws & Claus will be taking place. This year’s event will also include a DJ, the Zainy’s Flyin’ Grill food truck, pet vendors, a silent auction, and a secondary holiday set for pet parents to take their own photos with their pet. So far, the fundraiser has already raised over $5,000 for FCLAS with more donations expected. Beginning in 2013, Paws & Claus started as a brand development initiative and a way to give back to the community. Since then, Woofie’s has raised a total of over $30,000 with all proceeds going directly to pet and local charities.

“We are so thrilled that Paws & Claus has become a much anticipated community event that people look forward to every single year. When we started doing this 8 years ago, we never would have imagined how much money we would be able to raise for charity and how many people would make a tradition of getting their pet’s photos with Santa, year after year, “ said Woofie’s co-owner and co-founder, Leslie Barron.

This year’s set decoration was provided by A New View home decor, a local Ashburn, VA business. A New View specializes in creating and selling unique and reimagined home decor and furnishings.
