L&L Hawai‘i Appoints Andy Huang as Vice-President and COO

February 01, 2022 // Franchising.com // Honolulu - L&L Hawai‘i, a Hawaii-based restaurant franchise, has appointed Andy Huang as vice-president and chief operating officer (COO). In this capacity, Andy will oversee all day-to-day operations of the company, including development, corporate strategy, real estate, procurement, purchasing, human resources, franchise relations and training.

Prior to joining L&L Hawai’i, Andy served as Advantage Rent-A-Car’s area manager for a decade. During his tenure, he expanded Advantage locations across Hawaii and increased the company’s fleet size from 400 to 3000 units. His restaurant experience dates to 1999 when he joined Tanaka of Tokyo as a busboy. He worked up the ranks and, within five years, became the restaurant’s general manager. Under his leadership, he helped achieve a 97% customer satisfaction rate, averaged 4.5-star reviews on social media, and developed employee and management training programs.

“Andy joins our team at the right time as we gear up for record growth across the country this year,” said L&L Hawaii Vice-Chair and CEO Elisia Flores. “His extensive leadership and immense operational management experience will be invaluable as he assists with our expansion efforts. We are so excited to have him onboard.”

Andy graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a bachelor’s degree in management information systems. He is currently a member of the Hawaii Restaurant Association.
