Interim HealthCare’s Jennifer Sheets Honored with Silver Stevie® in 2022 American Business Awards®

Sheets recognized for her outstanding leadership, generating exponential company growth over the past two challenging years

SUNRISE, Fla. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - June 14, 2022 - Interim HealthCare Inc. announced that CEO and President Jennifer Sheets received a Silver Stevie in the “Woman of the Year - Consumer Services” category at the 2022 American Business Awards®.

Over the past two-plus years, Sheets’ commitment to improving the quality of life for patients and their families through the power of care coordination and home healthcare has become especially important. Her steadfast leadership throughout the COVID-19 pandemic helped ensure the safety of not only Interim HealthCare’s employees, but countless individuals working within the home healthcare industry. Sheets established the industry’s only website for sourcing personal protective equipment (PPE) and opened it up to competitors worldwide to purchase at fair-market prices and at scale. In total, an estimated three million units of critical PPE items were distributed to more than 1,000 agencies across the U.S. and five other countries.

During the pandemic, Sheets also spent countless hours advocating with federal and state governments for the “essential” worker status of America’s 3.2 million home healthcare workers, participating in meetings with top officials to ensure these workers were kept safe while doing their jobs. Sheets continues to advocate for the home healthcare workforce by pushing for better reimbursement rates, more reimbursement for technology-enabled care, targeted education opportunities for nurses and expanded recruitment efforts to meet the growing demand for home healthcare services.

Sheets also oversaw the growth of Interim HealthCare in 2021. In reviewing her accomplishments, the American Business Awards judges praised Sheets’ work as “exemplary leadership in the time of crisis” with “laudable foresight, proactive and results-oriented work.”

“Providing home healthcare access to more people in need and offering superior care coordination services from the comfort of home is the driving force behind what we do,” said Jennifer Sheets, CEO and president of Interim HealthCare. “I am grateful for this recognition as we continue in our commitment to positively impact the quality-of-care delivery and health outcomes for people across the country.”

The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. This year, more than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in a wide range of categories. More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
