July 05, 2022 // Franchising.com // San Rafael, CA. - School of Rock announces the grand opening of a school in San Rafael, California. The event will take place at 4150 Redwood Highway, San Rafael, CA 94903, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. PST, on Sunday, July 10. The event festivities will include a photo booth, guitar pack giveaway, air guitar contest, guided school tours, special offers, and live performances.

School of Rock San Rafael is owned by Heather Riley. Heather was born in England and grew up with a love of all things music. Her passion for music continued to grow when she helped launch School of Rock Santa Rosa in 2019, joining the location’s adult band as a vocalist and bass student. Having been a School of Rock student herself, Heather looks forward to providing another community with a fun learning experience and seeing students transform.

“There is nothing more important than taking care of others in your community, and being able to do so through the medium of music is unbeatable,” said Heather. “I saw firsthand the transformations that take place for students at School of Rock. This is a passion-based business and an extraordinary opportunity to bring people together through music, and I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to open a School of Rock in Marin County.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons, and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz, and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.
