Local Senior Care Advocates Continue To Meet The Growing Demand For Home Care Services

Owners and business partners Tina Glenn and Roget de Percin Berendes are pleased to announce the company’s growth and continued focus on providing companion and personal caregiving services to clients and families who require extra support.

FirstLight Home Care of Jacksonville delivers home care services to individuals who need companionship and personalized care in the place they call home, including seniors, veterans, adults with disabilities and those recovering from illness or injury. Trained caregivers help with many needs, from errands, transportation and household tasks to personal care responsibilities like bathing, grooming and hygiene.

Glenn and de Percin Berendes have been caring for seniors and other adults in Guilford County since 1999. They operated Hearthside Home Care in the Greensboro area for nearly 20 years, then joined FirstLight’s national franchise network in 2018 by converting Hearthside into FirstLight Home Care of Guilford. Jacksonville is their second FirstLight location.

The Jacksonville location also has achieved accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). Accreditation is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards for private duty home care services. Accreditation by ACHC reflects FirstLight’s commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and client care.
