Children’s Lighthouse of Nottingham Welcomes New Ownership

Local Entrepreneurs Take Ownership of Early Learning School in Katy

July 28, 2022 // Franchising.com // KATY, Texas - Children’s Lighthouse Early Learning Schools™ announced today the sale and acquisition of its Nottingham school in Katy, Texas to local couple Gloria Romero and Christian Balderrama.

The parents of two boys, Romero and Balderrama took ownership of the Nottingham school with a mission to deliver the high-quality education and care they expect for their own children. Behind their acquisition is the belief in the Children’s Lighthouse values-based approach to learning, which fosters ongoing success in and out of the classroom.

“The future of our world and society is dependent on developing well-rounded, well-adjusted children,” said Romero. “We take the development of our community to heart and know that by partnering with such a reputable organization, we can deliver top quality education to help our students continue to grow and thrive.”

The duo brings with them a technical background – Romero is a geologist and Balderrama an engineer – and are experts in creating actionable plans for improvement. They both hold master’s degrees in business administration, providing them the tools to successfully manage operations at their Children’s Lighthouse school. Romero and Balderrama chose to go into business ownership with Children’s Lighthouse because of the brand’s ability to create a safe space for children to grow in their confidence and develop a love for learning, friendship and community.

“As parents, we know how vital it is to find someone you trust to care for your child,” added Balderrama. “With Children’s Lighthouse, we are confident that we are joining a network that offers support and guidance that will both uphold and improve the high-quality programs at the Nottingham school.”
