Home Run Franchises Launches Ownership Incentive for Titus Center for Franchising Graduates

Palm Beach Atlantic Business Program Will Create New Generation of Franchise Owners

January 06, 2023 // Franchising.com // WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Home Run Franchises, a Nashville, Tennessee-based franchisor of four home service franchise brands, announced a new incentive program for graduates of the Titus Center for Franchising at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The incentive program awards a franchise to any graduate or MBA student who demonstrates a passion for franchise ownership and meets the start-up financial requirements (less than $20,000). Recipients do not pay the initial franchise fee, making franchise ownership possible for most graduates by steeply reducing the startup investment.

Home Run Franchises was founded by Thomas Scott, a career franchisor and franchise industry supplier. Scott has helped more than 12,000 people open franchises and has helped grow more than 380 franchise systems over 25 years. Scott founded seven franchise brands. His Home Run Franchises brands specifically target young, Generation Z owners. The brands are Up Closets, Dryer Vent Superheroes, The Lighting Squad and Window Film Squad.

Scott is a member of the Titus Center Advisory Board and provides internships to Titus Center students.

“We believe Generation Z entrepreneurs make the perfect franchise owners. They bring a unique set of skills and drive to the table,” said Scott. “Unfortunately, many franchise companies dismiss these young entrepreneurs, mistakenly thinking they lack skills or financial means. Our incentive program allows young entrepreneurs to get started in a life-long career of franchise ownership starting at an early age.”

The Titus Center for Franchising at Palm Beach Atlantic University is the only academic center of its kind in Florida and one of only a few in America. The Titus Center offers academic coursework, internships, job shadowing and training at area franchises. The center, based in the Marshall E. Rinker Sr. School of Business, was established in 2016 through a gift from Ray Titus, founder and CEO of United Franchise Group. Dr. John P. Hayes is the center's director. The center is dedicated to franchising education for both college students and professionals who want to enter franchising.

“We are so grateful for the service of franchise professionals like Thomas Scott who want to not only spend time with our students, but give them opportunities for ownership. Our program is unique because of generous, forward-thinking people like Mr. Scott,” said Hayes.

The Titus Center is rapidly growing and attracting students who see franchising as a way to blend corporate and entrepreneurial career goals. “The students who are graduating are top-notch and will pioneer the next two decades of growth in franchising,” said Scott. “We’re excited to help professionally develop as many of these students as we can through our new incentive program. It is a unique opportunity that offers a great head start in our industry.”
