Franchisees Honored for Standout Performance in the Industry as They Gear Up to Open Second School at Amazon’s HQ2

The Franchisee of the Year Award, sponsored by IFA’s partner Paychex, recognizes leading franchise owners from IFA member brands whose outstanding performance and contributions help protect, enhance, and promote the franchise business model. Nominated by their parent company, individuals are selected for their service to their communities, fostering a strong and vibrant workforce, opening the doors for career growth and entrepreneurship, and supporting their fellow franchisees.

Kate and Brian Mulcahy opened their first Celebree School in September 2021 in the Tysons Corner community and have since exceeded enrollment goals while receiving rave reviews. They are eager to open their second school at the highly anticipated Metropolitan Park for Amazon’s second headquarters in Arlington, Virginia – slated to open in Summer 2023.

“We are incredibly honored and humbled by this award win,” said Brian. “It’s a testament to all our hard work and team efforts. We put an immense focus on our team members, providing them with growth opportunities that allow them to maximize their full potential – and they are doing just that. Outside the four walls of their schools, the Mulcahys are community advocates. Not only does Kate volunteer at her children’s schools, but she also helps raise money for Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. where she serves as a committee member. Additionally, she teamed up with the CEO of Celebree School, Richie Huffman, to be the Spotlight Sponsor for the 2022 Light Up the Season Event to benefit Children’s National Hospital. Kate’s donation of $10,000, along with the corporate donation of $10,000, strongly impacts the families across their community.
