Scooter’s Coffee Continues Growing in Tennessee and Mississippi

Current Franchisee Signs Another Agreement with National Coffee Brand

May 22, 2023 // Franchising.com // OMAHA, Neb. - Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise experiencing record-breaking growth, continues its expansion throughout the U.S. by bringing its world-class drive-thru coffee locations to the Memphis, Tennessee neighborhoods of Midtown and Hickory Hill, and to Olive Branch, Mississippi.

The expansion into Mississippi, just across the border from Tennessee, is the result of a second franchise agreement signed by existing franchisee, Chase Hudson. Originally from Austin, Texas, Hudson and his wife moved to Tennessee a few years ago to be closer to family around the same time Scooter’s Coffee was expanding there.

“Scooter's Coffee continues to open very strong in Tennessee and I'm looking forward to continuing that momentum,” said Hudson. He plans to have both the Tennessee stores, as well as the Mississippi location, open by the end of the year.

Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries, and features its signature drink, the Caramelicious®. The company also recently added depth to its profile with a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee, and Cold Brew & Cream.

According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 60% of Americans drank coffee in the past day. That’s more than those reported to have been drinking tea, juice, soda, or even tap water! And 28% people reported buying coffee at a coffee shop or restaurant in the past day — a number that’s almost back to pre-pandemic levels. The drive-thru coffee model, already popular in our fast-paced society, has boomed during the pandemic, giving customers a way to get a delicious beverage while staying socially distant. Scooter’s Coffee kiosks, with the Brand Promise of “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast! ®” are helping Americans stay caffeinated and safe while providing high-quality products with a smile.

“I'm amazed by the passion owners, Don and Linda Eckles, still have for Scooter's Coffee and how much they want every franchisee to succeed,” said Hudson.

“We are proud to have Chase Hudson as part of the Scooter’s Coffee family,” said Kelly Crummer, Scooter’s Coffee Senior Director of Franchise Recruitment. “As a coffee lover, and a business-minded individual, we know Chase will play a huge role in spreading our brand in Tennessee and Mississippi.”
