Veteran Merry Maids Franchisee Expands Territory

May 25, 2023 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA, Ga. - Merry Maids is welcoming a new city. Residents of Dalton, Georgia, will soon be able to access a cleaning service.

Merry Maids of Dalton is on track to open by May 1. Longtime franchisee Tara Brackett teamed up with her husband, Wesley Brackett, to expand their business and introduce the Merry Maids brand to more customers. The couple looks forward to giving people more time to enjoy life with a trusted cleaning company to take care of their housework.

Tara Brackett started her career with Merry Maids 20 years ago when she purchased her Rome, Georgia, location from family after college graduation. Prior to joining forces with Tara, Wesley worked as a civil engineer. He turned to Merry Maids to help his wife create a legacy for their children and to find work-life balance. In addition to Dalton and Cartersville, the couple’s latest territory includes Ellijay, Calhoun, and Blue Ridge in Georgia, and Cleveland, Tennessee. They plan to add another location in Ellijay or Blue Ridge next year.

“Our latest expansion effort represents a valuable opportunity to introduce Merry Maids to a new area of Georgia and Tennessee,” said Tara Brackett. “We have the ability to provide our services to a fresh market with limited competition.”

Based in Atlanta, Merry Maids has been delivering cleaning services since 1979.

Merry Maids offers apartment and house cleaning, detailed cleaning, holiday cleaning, green cleaning, housekeeping, enhanced disinfection services, specialty cleaning, and move-in/move-out cleaning.
