Sport Clips Tops Hair-care Franchises in '2009 AllBusiness AllStars'

Ranks among 'Top 10 Franchises for Veterans'

GEORGETOWN, Texas, March 10 // PRNewswire // -- Sport Clips, the nation's largest men's and boys' hair-care provider, ranked 21st overall in the recent Dun & Bradstreet's (D&B) AllBusiness.com "2009 AllBusiness AllStars." Sport Clips is listed as the highest-ranked, fastest-growing hair-care franchise in the report and received additional recognition among the AllBusiness.com "Top 10 Franchises for Veterans." This inaugural ranking of the top 300 franchises was developed by AllBusiness.com editors over the past six months and was based on "the in-depth financial analysis" of its parent company, D&B. According to AllBusiness.com, the top winners "all have a strong financial foundation to survive and prosper in these recessionary times."

As one of AllBusiness.com's top 10 franchises for veterans, Sport Clips was recognized for offering financial incentives to U.S. military veterans through the Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran), its expansion plans, and having raised over $200,000 for the Veterans of Foreign Wars' (VFW) Operation Uplink program to enable our troops overseas to call home over the holidays free of charge.

"It is always an honor to be recognized by an entity with substantial financial and franchise expertise such as D&B's AllBusiness.com," said Sport Clips Founder and CEO Gordon Logan. "We appreciate the additional recognition as a strong supporter of our military and veterans... a commitment we plan to continue."

Sport Clips was established in 1995 by Logan. The franchise is a sponsor of NASCAR's Joe Logano and is the "Official Haircutter" of several teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Baseball (MLB), and National Hockey League (NHL). Sport Clips is the "Official Haircutter" of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, is the largest contributor to the VFW's Operation Uplink free call days and offers preferential pricing to veterans.
