National Quality Home Care Franchise, BrightStar Care, Opens First Las Vegas Location

Las Vegas residents decide to “invest in ourselves” to run BrightStar Care franchise, set new standard of quality for home care in Las Vegas, and deliver peace of mind to families in need of care.

GURNEE, Illinois (PRWEB) December 06, 2012 - Families and seniors of Las Vegas welcome a new partner for providing compassionate, expert care in their homes as national home care franchise BrightStar Care is set to open its first location in the area.

Las Vegas resident Becky Torrez, 40, is the new owner of Las Vegas’ first BrightStar Care, which has 250 locations in 37 states.

The former schoolteacher took an educated approach to choosing the next stage of her career after being a stay at home mom for the past 12 years.

She decided to open a BrightStar Care after she noticed that the only time she got to see her kids was when they were coming into the house for a snack or when they were in the car on the way to Little League practice.

“We live in a regular neighborhood, my kids play Little League, and I have been a dedicated room mom at their school for years,” Torrez says. She and her husband, Marc, decided that, as Torrez says, “It was time to invest in ourselves.”

Torrez, who holds a Master’s Degree in Education, evaluated 60 home healthcare franchises, narrowed it down to 20, and got in direct contact with 10. Over the course of a month, she evaluated each company, and ultimately decided on BrightStar Care.

“Becky is as passionate, driven, and savvy as they come,” said Shelly Sun, BrightStar Care CEO and co-founder. “Her strong ties to the Las Vegas area, plus her unwavering commitment to building a business based on delivering compassionate, high-quality care to the families in her community make her a perfect fit as our pioneer franchisee in Las Vegas.”

About BrightStar Care

BrightStar Care is one of the fastest growing home care franchises in the country. It is one of the few national home care franchises that delivers medical skilled services in the home, as well as companion and personal care services to people of all ages, from infants to seniors. At BrightStar Care, a Registered Nurse provides a unique, person-centered plan of care for each client and oversees every case to ensure the highest level of care.

BrightStar Care is the only homecare franchise to require each of its offices to be accredited by the Joint Commission, a nationally recognized healthcare quality-standards organization whose Gold Seal of Approval is seen as a symbol of quality that reflects the BrightStar Care commitment to meeting certain performance standards.

Torrez will pursue her Joint Commission Accreditation after she completes her staff and opens her business.

“Joint Commission makes you better and your people better,” Torrez said. “Everything about it sets you apart.”
