Wayback Burgers Launches Newest Location in East-Central, TX

Chuck Wilson Brings America’s Favorite Hometown Burger Joint to the Bryan, TX Community

BRYAN, TX (PRWEB) October 13, 2017 - Wayback Burgers, America’s favorite hometown burger joint and one of the nation’s fastest growing burger franchises, opened its newest restaurant in Bryan, TX on July 14th, 2017. This is Wayback Burgers’ ninth location in Texas (another five restaurants are currently under development in the state) and the third in areas surrounding College Station, TX.

The newest Wayback Burgers restaurant is owned by Chuck Wilson and is located at 3001 Wildflower Drive, Suite 501, Bryan, TX 77802. After working as a chicken farmer for 15+ years, Wilson, an Air Force veteran and Texas A&M (Class of ’96) graduate, bought the rights to develop twenty Wayback Burgers restaurants in Central Texas (covering all communities south of Dallas, west of Huntsville, north of Houston, and east of Austin). Wilson expects to have three restaurants operating in College Station, TX and Bryan, TX by the end of 2017 and expects to open 2-3 more annually in the coming years.

Wilson says Wayback Burgers was the perfect fit for his first entrepreneurial journey because he loves the company’s “throwback” culture and community first values.

“Central Texas has been craving the ‘Wayback Way,’” said Wilson. “At least one guest per day says they want to open their own location because they love the old school, local burger joint feel. They love the fresh, never frozen patties and the hand-dipped and spun milkshakes. They also love our deep ties to Texas A&M. We proudly display historic college photos, raise funds for local organizations, and of course, broadcast every Aggie game in store. We’re excited about our rapid growth in College Station and Bryan and look forward to expanding to other Central Texas towns.”

Wilson said he couldn’t do this without support from his wife, Michele (Texas A&M Class of ’01), and believes much of their success can be attributed to their commitment to Texas A&M. In addition to hosting fundraisers and hanging historic campus photos (including one featuring the “Century Tree”), he offers 12% discounts to all Texas A&M students and alumni (also known as “The 12th Man”) at each of his Wayback Burgers restaurants each Saturday in honor of the 12th Man tradition.

Wayback Burgers Executive Vice-President, Bill Chemero, is impressed with Chuck’s success to date and believes the company’s fast casual burger concept is a perfect fit for Bryan, TX and communities throughout Central Texas.

“We are thrilled Chuck Wilson is opening our newest Wayback Burgers location in East-Central Texas,” said Chemero. “After serving our country and working tirelessly for years as a chicken farmer, Chuck possesses the perfect skill set to run a successful Wayback Burgers location. Plus, he is deeply committed to his community and supports countless local organizations. We expect Chuck to continue to flourish as a multi-unit Wayback Burgers franchisee and we look forward to helping him develop new locations throughout Central Texas.”
