Tutor Doctor Brings Back #StockTheFridge Campaign to Generate Teacher Appreciation

Students, parents, communities to stock refrigerators and staff rooms to show gratitude for educators.

Orlando, FL, May 10, 2019 - (PR.com) - In an effort to give back to school teachers in local communities, Tutor Doctor Orlando is bringing back its wildly popular #StockTheFridge campaign on May 9th, 2019 to help teachers and allow communities to give back to its educators.

Inspired by a Facebook post by a pair of Tutor Doctor entrepreneurs that went viral in Panama City, Florida, in May 2016, the #StockTheFridge campaign was initially designed to show appreciation for teachers and staff at local schools in Panama City. The entrepreneurs, Alison Parker and Lacey Frank, called on residents to recommend schools for Parker and Frank to visit to fill up refrigerators in teacher’s lounges with bottles of water, soda and small snacks. The small act of kindness would be awarded to the top two schools with the most likes, shares and comments on the post.

“All teachers are very much deserving of having their lounges and refrigerators stocked, and this is one small way that we can give back to them for all the hard work they put into educating the children of city,” said Tony DiSanza of Tutor Doctor. “Teachers are a crop of talented, irreplaceable people who often get overlooked and we are more than happy to give them whatever we can.”

Tutor Doctor, the nation’s largest franchise for one-to-one in-home, private tutoring, is aiming to continue its campaign to stock refrigerators and lounges at its participating franchise locations in Canada, Australia, the United States and United Kingdom.

“The campaign is a simple way of giving back to school teachers and we are going to continue to support them as the months go on,” said Frank Milner, president of Tutor Doctor. “We are incredibly thankful and proud of our wonderful Tutor Doctor employees as well, and we look forward to watching the campaign continuing to blossom throughout communities all over the world.”
