theCoderSchool to Open First New Jersey School

Silicon Valley-based coding school is coming to Short Hills

October 04, 2019 // Franchising.com // Palo Alto, CA - theCoderSchool - whose motto is “Learn to code. Change the world.” - is expanding into New Jersey. The school - which aims to show the next generation of kids how inspiring and exciting technology can be - is set to open a location in Short Hills, N.J.

The new school joins two other locations in the area; Bayside, NY, which opened last month, and Commack, NY, which will open next month. All three locations are owned and operated by Noreen Kazi, who also owns theCoderSchool’s Syosset and Roslyn, NY locations. Kazi has spent over 20 years creating educational curriculums and running programs focused on developing the next generation of leaders.

The Short Hills, NJ location will open on October 4 and is located at 509 A Millburn Ave.

“I’m thrilled to build on the success of our three existing locations,” said Kazi. “Learning how to program computers is an incredibly valuable skill, and one that’s demand is steadily increasing exponentially in every industry. Through theCoderSchool’s project-based approach, we strive to improve kids’ logic, ideation and creative thinking skills, while preparing them for a successful future.”

Nisha Bhalla will also be continuing her partnership with Kazi on the three new locations. Bhalla, Senior Advisor for both the Syosset and Roslyn locations, stands as a Harvard Business School graduate with extensive experience in launching and scaling new products at Fortune 500 companies and healthcare start-ups.

“I couldn’t be more excited to continue to partner and work with Noreen,” Bhalla said. “We’ve built a great partnership over the years in Syosset and Roslyn, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch our vision continue to grow. We’ve received such a positive response from the communities we are already in and hope to bring the same positivity towards learning about technology in our three new communities.”

Founded by Hansel Lynn and incubated with the help of his best friend, Wayne Teng, theCoderSchool was built with the desire to provide children aged 7 to 18 years with a welcoming environment to develop computer programming skills. theCoderSchool uses a variety of platforms to teach various coding languages, such as HTML, CSS, Python, Javascript and more. Every Code Coaching lesson is customized with the help of trained Code Coaches® who use a 2-on-1 approach to teaching.

“As we continue to expand our presence throughout the country, it’s critical to find the right franchise partners who are truly passionate about setting kids up with a positive, life-long relationship with technology and coding,” added Lynn. “This is why we couldn’t be more excited about our continuing partnership with Noreen and Nisha. They have shown how passionate they are about our mission, and we are confident the new communities will see just how fun learning to code can be.”
